    Default New "WT quiet room'

is currently occupied by over a DOZEN PEOPLE...and this is NOT rare since it's inception. Seems to Me,if You're playing a game w/other people,YOU OUGHTA PLAY WITH THEM. Kinda tired of seeing the same names, consistently. I submit if You don't wanna play with people, please leave the clan and open a spot for someone whom does.

I think you are being a bit too harsh. AOD requires us to be on teamspeak when we are playing War Thunder however there are plenty of reasons that people might not be playing with squad mates. For example I was in the quiet room all morning as I was playing with a non-AOD friend who is not allowed to join our comms. Other reasons could be that they are grinding or maybe just want some chill time alone after a stressful day. We are a very diverse bunch in AOD with all sorts of circumstances going on in our lives. Likewise the way and the reasons that AOD members play war thunder is diverse and I can respect that it is no skin off my nose if they don’t feel like socializing with me at this moment. So I submit to that no one should be drummed out of the clan because they do things differently from ourselves.

Both Rubble and Manta_Ray have a good point.

But i can see Rubble's point here :

there are a few members that are ALWAYS in the quiet room and never bother to play with any of the other AOD members
it seems that they are only in AOD just to have the clan tag and care about the rest

now Manta_Ray i see you point and you are right if you have a good valid reason to be in the quiet room then by all means do so

BUT if you are 1 of those others,
just in here for the tag,
then WHY join a clan at all if you are not gonna be sociable and play with us, WHY join ???

Good Point Boom Boom. My answer to that would be I have flipping clue. However if they are obeying all the rules (always on comms, squadron meeting, forum posts) yet are not squading with people I would dare say there is something more going on then in it for the tags. Perhaps one of these always in the quiet room people could enlighten us if they see the post?

    MantaRay-

I "get" not wanting to chat w/someone-squad up all the time. I don't have a issue with those who desire to fly/tank and just listen to music/chill.However,this is a TEAM oriented game, and instead of a PUG player,You're a clan player,You joined a clan. *I use 'You' here not literally, but in place of a name denoting specific personage or ownership of a action* IF You're part of a team, but insist on riding the pine, not going to the games, but want the t-shirt and hat...well...what the hell?Same point here I'm making,as is BmBm.

If someone wants to play alone, don't join a clan, any clan. Clans are for playing together, making friends, etc. Not just a tag and place to leave random meme's/posts in a forum. This is My point. Simple and no filler. Every now and again in the quiet room?SURE,that's what it's for. Consistently playing in there and NOT with the rest of the clan,etc...well We simply have no use for that type of player...Make sense?

I know a few of the ones that always hang around in the quiet room and hang around with others on discord all the time!

I Might fall into this category,
I like to hop between game modes and BR's so often that half the time no one in the regular channels can keep up or even has access to that tier, I also do a lot of tasks that cause me to be a bit aggresive in my queing and playing (I.e daily task requires killing 10 SPAA's, I Get REALLY aggressive when someone Kill Steals a required vehicle and If I don't see the match having what I need I'll J out and join a new match with a different country due to time limited tasks)
For me personally though, I feel like if i join a channel I should be squadding up and playing like a team, But I realize that i can just join a channel to talk to other guys, but Sometimes the channels are mostly empty when I get on...
I'd like to not be a part of the problem...

I'm sorta guilty of doing this but when i get online, I'm usually skinning something and test flying in matches to test my work out. Other times, I just let my lil ones borrow my mic so they can play with their games or it's just too loud and hectic at home, so open mic is out of the question, and if I would P2C, you all would freak out with the hell screams.... some of us have kiddoes.

The lobby is a quiet room yes, but you can still talk in it, if you don't want to hear anything then mute your sound.. its just one room where everyone can kind of do their own thing and still chat if they want to or not.

It is still a quiet room, where everyone who dont wanna play with someone hides.

I've ran into several people in AOD who've I've seen in game that have been in teamspeak but in the quiet room. Personally I have no problem with this, as long as they're in teamspeak while they're playing the game I could careless. Many people sit into the quiet room because various reasons, some of the reasons I sit in the quiet room is because I just want to be left alone and chill out from a long day at work. I don't really feel like people should get in trouble for doing this, when in fact the quiet room is the perfect place for them to go.

To me AOD is about teamwork, Communication and Helping others and Most of all having fun. Now being a solo Player in a clan where all the things I mentioned come in to play is Well Not what a solo player means. PPL join AOD for the team work, Friendlyness, Communication .

Nobody gets in trouble for this
We are here for all to have fun
It's just that we try to understand why players are in the quiet room a lot

Some reasons I use the quiet room
    1. Ruff day at work and not feeling sociable.
    2. Doing housework - I will play a match, fold some clothes, put dishes in the washer etc etc. then play a match which means I'm afk often.
    3. Playing before work, where I'm drinking coffee, playing a match here and there while getting things sorted for work.
    4. Channel chatter gets to be to much (see #1)
    5. Focusing on a grind of spading a certain tank, plane etc.

I enjoy squading with my AOD mates and will most times be looking to either chat with members even if playing another game or squading up but sometimes things just don't fit with grouping up. I would guess that some of the folks that are in the quiet room a lot may just be a bit shy, have other things going or a bit intimidated by the channel chatter that goes on at times. This is just a guess as I'm no psychologist.
