The RC Air club I belong to, we have our won little airport. It was a large open field that one of the long standing members bought awhile back, I think like, 20 years or something. He was a lawyer and loved flying and he still flies at the ripe old age of 88 and with the money we raise from events and flying fees and mini airshows, the club has managed to build 3 different types of runway. Grass, gravel, and blacktop. We have several small building that the club uses for hangers and teaching, repairs and storage. But the club also owns some of the woods surrounding the field as well. And we're planning on making an area for people who drive large scale tanks for mock battles and such. Not sure how long that'll take to come to fruition though.
